Mini Cup Club Sponsorship

Dear Prospective Marketing Partner,

The Mini Cup Club of Western New York is currently seeking a racing series marketing partner for the 2009 & 2010 seasons and beyond. We would like to develop a long term relationship that would enhance and promote the goals of both our racing series and your business /corporation.

Mini Cups are ½ scale stock cars built just like the Nextel Cup cars you see on TV. They are real race cars, not toys. Mini Cup cars run 70-80 mph on 3/8 mile ovals. Our cars are an easy and affordable way for anyone interested in racing to get into the action. They are also the best avenue for young drivers to begin their stock car racing careers. The Mini Cup Club of Western New York will have two 14 year olds and one female driver competing this season against a field of experienced adult drivers. The club has races scheduled for Holland International Speedway, Wyoming County International Speedway, Chapel Hill Raceway, Bliss Raceway, and a race in Ohio against another Mini Cup group from Michigan.

At this time The Western New York Mini Cup Club is financially supported solely by membership dues. The races have no purses and the drivers receive no prize money. The drivers involved participate based on their interest and dedication to the sport of stock car racing. Marketing partner / sponsorship dollars would be used to promote both the club and the sponsor. It would help in recruiting new members, provide prize money to the race teams, and pay for the materials (signs, vinyl graphics) needed to identify your business/corporation as the race series sponsor.

Program Scope

As the WNY Mini Cup racing series sponsor you would benefit from the following:

  1. Billing - The series will be know as the “Your company/corporation Mini Cup Racing Series”. This identification will be provided in all verbal and written communications by the Mini Cup club for the duration of the agreement. This includes any advertisements, recruiting materials, web site information, track announcements, track side and victory lane interviews.

  2. Advertising - Series Marketing Partner / Sponsor ‘s name & logo will appear on all WNY Mini Cup vehicles (vinyl graphics). The same will appear on all trailers & vehicles hauling these cars to the races (rolling billboards). Our cars have appeared and will continue to appear at the following area shows, Cavalcade of Cars at the Erie County Fair Agricenter, Holland Speedway McKinley Mall car show, Mercy Flight Benefit car show, and other appearances. A sign will be professionally made with the series sponsors name and logo and each winning team will be photographed in front of this sign in victory lane at every track.

  3. Press and Public Relations - An announcement will be made in a major media publication announcing our partnership prior to the start of the season.
  4. Appearances - Mini Cups are ½ scale race cars. Their reduced size makes for easy display and always draw attention and interest. The series sponsor will have the opportunity to receive the following:

    • Appearances of our Mini Cup Vehicles, in show condition, at your place of business, for the purpose of promotional activity, increased retail traffic, or special events.
    • The opportunity to display a Mini Cup vehicle in show condition in a trade show or exposition for increased attention or traffic.
    • The opportunity to display a Mini Cup vehicle in show condition at your place of business for up to 30 days during the off season.
    • All appearance dates must be mutually agreed upon by both The WNY Mini Cup club and the series sponsor and can not interfere with the race schedule or any race teams operation.
  5. Promotional Materials - The WNY Mini Cup Club agrees to distribute any promotional materials (coupons / flyers / etc.) provided by the Series Sponsor at all race locations and at any show appearances. A baseball type trading card will be created bearing a picture of the Mini Cup Vehicles with your company name & logo identifying you as the Series Sponsor. A race schedule will appear on the back.

  6. Hospitality - The WNY Mini Cup Club will make every attempt to accommodate the Series Sponsor with a reasonable and affordable number of pit and track passes to racing events at the sponsors request and you will always be welcome in the pit / show area of the WNY Mini Cup Club.

  7. Web Links - Whenever possible, links from the WNY Mini Cup website and all race team websites to the Series Sponsor’s website will be established.

The WNY Mini Cup Club is open to any suggestions or ideas provided by the Series Sponsor.

The WNY Mini Cup Club is seeking a long term full season Series Sponsor.  If a full season Series Sponsor can not be obtained, the club will be offering individual race sponsorship.

Interested parties should contact Club President Richard Hamann
