24 Car Wins At WCIS

Robbie Micoli broke through for his first win in the Mini Cups. On the pole in the number 24 is Micoli next to him is the number 8 of Hamann followed by the 12 of Hartloff and the 86 of Becker will be your top four ProMod’s the 94 of Michelle Becker the 95 of Robby Becker and the 4 of Denial Majchrzak the 94, 95 and 4 make up your Junior Division so we have a race within a race. Jim Peirce was scheduled to drive the 48 car for Paul Faleski Today they are having problems with the 48 car so it looks like Jim Peirce won’t be able to make his Mini Cup debut today.  Look like we have some daubery up in turn one, it’s the deck lid off of the 86 car of Amy Becker and every thing is ok for her to continue on. They were given a couple of hot laps to put some heat in the tiers,

It Micoli, Hamann, Hartloff and Becker your four ProMod’s glued together coming down the back stretch for the first time around here on this day. Micoli will lead them for lap one as he just runs’ a way and hides from the duo of Hartloff and Hamann were awfully fast. Micoli tries to pull away as Hartloff looks to the bottom of Hamann, Micoli still out fount. Hartloff looks to the inside of Hamann for second right-on his back bumper, Hartloff to the inside taking the number to spot form Kris Hamann Hartloff Hamann wheel to wheel for that second spot. Micoli has stretched out the real state, Micoli coming up on the junior car of Daniel Majchrzak and gets around with no problems and Hartloff in the second spot tries and he can’t get by and here come Kris Hamann charging back on the outside wow what a great battle for that runner up sport now. Hamann reclaims the second spot as they are side by side Micoli, oh! Hartloff slows look like he’s having problems the race is stayed greed Hartloff pulled off into the infield and that breaks up a great battle for second place.

Now Hamann has to worry about Robbie Micoli who has slower traffic the junior cars of Robby Becker and Michelle Becker right in front of him. He’s got Robby Becker smack dab right the middle of his way, the cross flags are in the air, we are at halfway and Hamann had to thread the needle through the junior mini cup traffic and all that advanced him up two or three car lengths. As they headed down the front stretch its Micoli and Hamann same thing down the back stretch,  Micoli’s really tacking control of this one, this is by far his best run of the season and his lead has extended to about 28 Mini cup cars. Parallel flags in the air, there are just two to go. Micoli comes out of turn four and takes the white flag, one lap left at the blacktop bull-ring Looks like 8-car is going run out of time, out of turn four it’s 24-Robbie Micoli with his fist win of the season followed by 8-Kris Hamann second and 86-Amy Becker in third those are your ProMod cars next are 94-Michelle Becker wins the Junior Div. race, 94-Robby Becker in second and 4-Daniel Majchrzak finishes in third.

WNY Mini Cup Club Race Report 7-6-2007

As the Mini cups come out on the track it Jesse Hartloff with that dominating run in the heat race he’ll be out there in the 12. Amy Becker in the 86 the 8 car of Kris Hamann Robbie Micoli hopping to have his problems solved in the 24 Manna Refrigeration ride, Jim Majchrzak piloting the number 48 car for Paul Faleski those are you ProMod division drivers. At the back we have the Jr. Division drivers its 94-Michelle Becker, 73 Dennis Prouse` Yakam and Robby Becker in the 95 those are your three Jr. Division Cars.

White flag we will go green next time by and see if any one has anything for Hartloff after his dominating heat win. Jim Majchrzak is making his first start in a mini cup car his son has driven one before and is now in the process of building one with the help of his dad. As the pick up the pace through turns three and four green flag is in the air and Hartloff launches from the field. But here comes Becker and Hamann on the outside and Micoli once again has issues with the 24 he slows down the back stretch. Hartloff tack the early lead followed by Becker, Hamann, and Majchrzak.

Hartloff quickly stretches away from the field now Hamann gets around Amy Becker for the second spot we have a three car battle for the second third and fourth spot as Hartloff starts to run away from the pack in the12 car. Becker in the 86 gets a little loose in turn four up in to the marbles and 48 Jim Majchrzak ducks underneath her to take the third spot. Hartloff has caught the Jr. Division cars and starts to put them a lap down.

With 5 laps to go Hartloff looks like he’s in a league of his own tonight, oh! Robby Becker get’s a little out of shape that time by. Hartloff he could just put this thing on cruse control for the rest of this one, Hamann all alone in second, Jim Majchrzak in third. Two to go now for Hartloff and he has more than a 3 quarter track lead on his next opponent Kris Hamann rides in second. White flag is in the air and Hartloff has one more lap around the Bull-Ring. Checker flag comes out Jesse Hartloff is going to cruse to the win, second will go to Hamann and the battle for third is on between Majchrzak and Becker with 48 Jim Majchrzak taking third and Amy Becker comes in fourth Robbie Micoli finishes fifth. Robby Becker wins the Jr. Division followed by 94-Michelle Becker and 73 Dennis Prouse` Yakam.

ProMod 6-10-2007 WCIS

The line up for the feature Event our ProMod’s with Paul Faleski the pink flamingo in the all white number 48 on the pole, Kevin Suttner making his first start of the year. Followed by Jesse Hartloff your feature winner last week Amy Becker in the 96. Robbie Micoli hopeful to avoid problems he’s had the last couple of weeks in the Manna Refrigeration 24, Kris Hamann in the Golding 8. Our Junior Division with Mitchell Becker 94 and Robby Becker in the 95 they will race among themselves the Jr cars are a bit slower so they start in back of the ProMod’s.

Faleski and Suttner lead the pack as the wind them up for the green flag and who’s going too lead it out of turn two its Faleski and Suttner roof flap to roof flap going don the back stretch going into turn four Suttner establishes himself as the leader as Amy Becker moves up to the third spot in front of Jesse Hartloff. Going into turns one and two Hartloff drive by Becker to take the third spot back ad try’s to take second from Faleski and moves into 2nd. Meanwhile 64 Suttner is lengthening his lead on the field in this 15 lap feature as Faleski Reclaims the spot in front of the 12 of Jesse Hartloff. Amy Becker 4th Robbie Micoli 5th followed by the Jr div. 95 of Robby over the 94 of Mitchell Becker.

Robbie Micoli in the 24 is now closing in on Amy Becker in the 96 Micoli goes to the bottom for the pass oh! Micoli has problems again he is slowing he goes by turns 1 & 2 with his hand out the window as he pull off the track. Suttner is just driving away Faleski and Hartloff still fighting away for that number two spot. Seven laps in and its Suttner, Hartloff, Faleski, Amy Becker and Kris Hamann brings in he 8 car looks like he’s out of the race. Suttner now putts the two Jr cars a lap down with 5 laps to go. Hartloff and Faleski have been battling for the second spot since the drop of the green flag they both pass the Jr cars Hartloff goes to the bottom get’s into the grass a little and Oh Hartloff looses the handle and falls into the grasps of the 3rd place car of Amy Becker.

Suttner with the lead Faleski’s has the peddle down hard to catch the leader I don’t now if he can make up the ground Faleski a half a straight a way back Suttner would have to spinout to loose this one. Out of turn four Suttner takes the win making his first mini cup run of the 2007 season followed by Paul Faleski, Jesse Hartloff and Amy Becker. Robby Becker wins the Jr Div followed by Mitchell Becker.

ProMod 6-3-2007 WCIS

T
his Race Report was recorded at WCIS this week by track announcer Dan Turner. As the Mini Cups making their way to the speedway it looks like going away from the pole is the 86 of Amy Becker who won today’s ProMod heat race. Outside her will be Kris Hamann in the 8 machine. Second row will be the 12 of Jesse Hartloff outside Hartloff will be the 24 of machine Robbie Micoli. Third will be the Jr class as we wait for the 48 of Paul Faleski to come up to the tail end of the field. Third row is the 95 of Robby Becker and the 94 of Michelle Becker from the Jr class to round up the field.

White flag is being shown by Mike Jones, green flag next time by, coming out of turn four green flag in the air and Becker gets the early jump but it’s Hamann on the out side trying to keep the RPM’s up. Hamann takes the lead away of off turns one and two, Amy falls to the number two spot but her comes Hartloff. Hartloff in the 12 he works the bottom side of Becker down the back straightaway back into turns three and four Hartloff works the bottom ooh Becker a little out of shape this time by, Hartloff takes the spot and now has his sights on the number one spot held by Hamann and take over the number one spot. Becker down to the bottom after nearly wiped out in turn four, Hartloff in command of the field now. Becker will have to battle for the number two spot now as Hartloff runs away and hides from everyone he had some handling problems in turn two during the heat race. Becker has a lot of ground to make up, Hartloff now with almost a half a straightaway in the 12 machine, he passes the 95 car of Robby Becker and the 94 car of Michelle Becker. Hartloff is just checking out and putting himself into a different time zone. Hartloff now a full straight-a-way out in front of Amy Becker working around the 24 Rob Micoli car is having motor problems.

Hartloff setting a wicked pace Amy Becker has problems she has a flat right rear, Amy having a great run trying to keep it to the high side of the race track as the caution flies. Amy Becker making the dive to the middle, but it’s defiantly not how she wanted to end her day here. It was a great break for Hamann here as he was well over a straightaway behind Hartloff. Now Hamann and the rest of the field get to close the gap up at lap 9. This seems to help out 48 Faleski as his machine is running much better. Some of the heavy hitters with problems already are starting to fall out of the race. 24 Rob Micoli heads into the pits for quick repairs. Due to the on coming rain the victory lane interviews will take place at the end of the day.

As we go green for one more time Hartloff still out front now Faleski works the outside Hamann works the bottom side going into turns one and two. Yellow! Yellow! Yellow! There is something smack dab in the middle of turn one a piece of somebody’s car, that’s the cause for the caution. The 8 Kris Hamann looses an exhaust pipe and has to pull off the track and retire for the day and Kris was up front battling for second at the time a good run. The field returns to white flag for a restart as there was no full lap made. The 24 car of Rob Micoli returns to the race track 9 laps in the books. Green flag racing resumes and Faleski has found something with this 48 car he has been picking up the pace as the race goes on. Hartloff though back on the gas has a large lead Faleski trying to keep up 4 laps to go Hartloff has a full straight-a-way lead on Faleski. Hartloff running the high side through the corners puts it in cruse control, all he need is a couple more laps and this one will go in the books in the w column. Hartloff goes by the two Jr Cars of Becker and Becker. This time by two to go for Hartloff with Faleski’s in the number two spot. For the juniors Michelle Becker has the spot over Robby Becker white flag in the air as Jesse still has a full straight-a-way lead over Paul Faleski and Michelle Becker is still out front of Robby Becker.

Checker flag and Jesse Hartloff takes it Paul Faleski finishes second, in the Jr Div. Michelle Becker takes the win over Robby Becker and Rob Micoli despite all the problems comes in third two laps down Kris Hamann lap 9 DNF with broken exhaust, Amy Becker Lap 9 DNF with flat tire. This finish is official by the score keeper Rachel Babbit, the track scorer double checked the finale result and found that her assistant wrote the results down wrong.

ProMod's 10-7-2006 WCIS

Micoli wins sixth & Final Feature Race of 2006 Season.

Perry NY. In the WNY Mini Cup Club ProMod division, the 8-car of Kris Hamann is the point’s leader and if everything goes ok Hamann will be the 2006 WNY Mini Cup Champion all Hamann has to do is take the green. Hamann lines up in the last row inside, on the outside of Him is the 24-car of Rob Micoli who has five feature wins this season and is currently second in the points. The Green flag is in the air and we are racing, Hartloff gets a great jump off the start and takes the early lead. Hartloff, now with a five-car length advantage over the second place car of Faleski followed by 24-Micoli, 86-car of Amy Becker, 11-Car Paul Young to round of your top five in this 25 lap national event.

Micoli and 24-x of Paul Faleski battle it out for a couple of laps before the 24 of Micoli would take the spot. Amy Becker is trying to hold off the 11-car of Paul Young. Young moves to the low side in turns one and two they are side-by-side out of two. Down the back stretch its 86-Becker by a nose, going into turn three Young picks up some momentum and takes the position away from 86-Becker on the front stretch. Micoli looks at Hartloff on the low side out off turn four down the front stretch their side-by-side going into turn one Micoli takes the spot. Coming out of four, they come up on the lap traffic, the 2-car of Roy Becker. Hartloff goes High Micoli goes low and is caught behind Becker and has to back out of the throttle. However, this is a 25-lap feature plenty of time. With Nine laps in and Hamann looses the handle in turn four, spins hits nothing and gets going again. Hamann goes by the starter stand and the car sounds like its limping just a little bit. Amy Becker pulls off with motor problems but would come back in time for the green flag she has to start tail. The 2-Becker pull off to help the 86-Becker and would not return, the 8-car of Hamann under the caution flag stops in turn four Hamann jumps out of the 8 machine and has to push the car to the pits. Hamann ended up with motor problems and would not return to the race. Hamann only had to take the green to win the 2006 ProMod Season Championship, which it is now official.

Almost five caution laps go by and the green flag flies one more time, we are back to racing at the blacktop BullRing. Hartloff gets a jump on the start but its Micoli taking the lead into turn one. they spread out in single file for a few laps, then Faleski closes in on the bumper of Hartloff on the front stretch he dives to the inside in turn one but its Hartloff on the back stretch holding on to the spot. With two laps to go, the 11-car of Paul Young closed the gap between himself and second place. Hartloff and Faleski battled it out so hard that they battled themselves right out of a spot to Paul Young. Checker Flag fly’s, Robbie Micoli wins his sixth Feature race of the 2006 Season and third feature in a row at WCIS. In second is Paul Young followed by Jesse Hartloff, Paul Faleski, Amy Becker, Kris Hamann and Roy Becker.

ProMod's 9-17-2006 WCIS
Robbie Micoli driver of the 24-Car, Wins his fourth feature race of the season & first at WCIS, after a bad luck streak that lasted 4 weeks.

Perry NY, the WNY Mini Cup ProMod division is on the track on this mid summer like day in September. They line up to take the white flag and it’s the 2-car of Roy Becker from Java on the pole, outside row one is Tony Kulesza in the 11-car. Second row 86 of Amy Becker from Java and next to her is the 24x of Paul Faleski out of Lancaster. In row three, its 24-car driven by Robbie Micoli form Lockport and on the out side of row three is Kevin Suttner in the 64 machine out of Cheektowaga. Last but not least on the inside of row four we have Kris Hamann driving the 8-car from East Aurora and on the outside of row four is the 95-car driven by Joe Owens Jr. Next time by, we will be green flag racing.

Green flag is in the air for the ProMod feature and Kulesza takes the lead, Faleski takes the 2-car and the 64-car three wide in turn one. Faleski with a bump from Suttner launches into the lead, followed by Suttner as he takes the spot from Kulesza. Suttner fighting for his chance at the top spot, Micoli now moves into the number three spot, we have the 24x-64-24 combination. With Kulesza dropping to fourth, Amy Becker goes by Kulesza on the outside moving him back 5th. The 64-Suttner works the low side of 24x-Faleski going into turn one, the cautions comes out on lap-2 for the 95-Owens as he spins coming out of turn four. Owens finds himself in the wet grass at turn four infield.

On the restart Suttner jumps out in to lead followed by Faleski, Micoli and Hamann passes the 86-Becker on the inside of turn four to move into fourth position. 2-Becker Drops back to 8th place. Caution on the racetrack, daubery on the front stretch, looks like some thing fell off one of the cars. One of the race teams left a rag in their car and it flew out. Three laps in now, Roy Becker 2-car pulls in the pits. Green flag and Suttner gets the jump as he pull away, Suttner is three car lengths out front before the start finish line. As the sort themselves out coming down the back stretch, out of turn four we have Suttner, Micoli, Faleski, Hamann, A Becker, Kulesza and R Becker.

Micoli starts too real in Suttner and Hamann and Faleski are now battling for the third spot. Micoli goes to outside coming out of turn two and down the backstretch. Micoli still outside going trough turns three and four coming across the line it looked like Micoli mite have had Sutter by a nose. Hamann and Faleski are now battling side-by-side for one lap. Faleski retains the spot. Up front, Micoli’s has passed Suttner and drove away from him. The 24-Micoli has caught the lap traffic, of the 95-Owens Jr. Micoli puts Owens 1-lap down and is really opening thing up here with 5-laps to go for Micoli and now we have a three-car battle for second spot, as Faleski tries to take the spot from Suttner, Hamann moves into the third spot. Micoli out front dominating things 3-laps to go, Hamann and Faleski still fight over that third spot. Two laps to go Hamann goes by Faleski and Hamann gets a run on Suttner for second it’s just not enough. White flag in the air for Micoli will he finish this race Hamann and Faleski still battle for the third spot. Out of turn four they are coming to the finish line and its Robbie Micoli in the number 24-Car followed by 64-car Kevin Suttner, 8-car Kris Hamann, 24x of Paul Faleski, 86 of Amy Becker, 11 Tony Kulesza, 95-car driven by Joe Owens Jr, and the 2-car of Roy Becker-DNF.

ProMod's: 7-19-2006
Kris Hamann Wins his second feature race of the 2006 season at Holland. The 15-lap feature race had to restart twice. The 8 Car of Kris Hamann jumped the start twice and then had to go to the tail end of the field. When the field took the green flag, the 64 of Kevin Suttner took off like a rocket and left everyone behind by 6 Mini Cup car lengths. The next car back was the 24 car of Robbie Micoli five car lengths back was the 11 car of Billy Weiss, right on his tail was the 86 of Amy Becker. Becker has been having stronger runs every week and was now running in the top four at the beginning of this race. The 2 car driven this week by Tony Kulesza and the 24x of Paul Faleski fell off the pace. Back in the pack 8 Hamann has made up considerable ground and just passes the 86 Becker when the 98 driven by Shawn Nye breaks a right front shock mount and heads for the wall in turn three. Nye managed to slow the car down and bring it to a stop just a few feet from the wall. That brings out the caution on lap three.

On the restart, the 64 of Suttner once again is gone and there is an intense battle for the second spot between 11 Weiss, 24x Faleski, and the 24 Micoli. By lap five 8 Hamann worked his way though the field and passes the 11 of Weiss for Second place with 24 of  Micoli taking the third spot. On lap six 64 Suttner develops clutch problems and has to pull off and turn the lead over to the 8 of Kris Hamann with 24 Micoli just in his mirror. Just behind them was a side-by-side battle in turns three and four for the third spot, followed by the 86 Amy Becker, 2 Kulesza and 95 car of Roy Becker.

Hamann and Micoli check out on the field and are now coming up on lap traffic. Lap eight 24x of Faleski passes 11 of Weiss for the third spot with the 86 of Amy Becker rounding off the top five. Lap nine 24 Micoli looks to the low side of 8 Hamann in turn one only to find the lap traffic of 95 R. Becker and can not make up any ground. On lap ten the 11 car of Weiss has motor trouble and pulls into the infield tuning over the fourth spot to the 86 of Amy Becker. With only four laps to go 8 Hamann tries to hold off 24 of Micoli who is closing in fast. On the last lap 24 Micoli caught 8 of Hamann and was right on his bumper going into turn four, 24 of Micoli taps 8 of Hamann and sends Hamann down the front stretch fish tailing at full speed. Micoli slows and Hamann holds on and recovers just before the start finish line two win the 15 Lap feature race his second in 2006.

After the race the two stopped there cars on the back stretch to shake hands. While Kris Hamann was celebrating his victory, we noticed Robbie Micoli running across the track, Micoli had ran out to apologize to Kris for almost wrecking him and told him he did not want to win that way. These two young men have what it takes to race in today’s world with everyone fighting on the track and off the track, I personally hope the both of you have success with your racing carriers.

Paul Young Wins the feature race at
WCIS on his return to Mini Cup racing; it was a good race down to the finish. From the drop of the green flag the 24x of Paul Faleski would take the early lead followed by the 8 car of Kris Hamann the 11 car of Paul Young and the 64 car of Kevin Suttner. Further back in the field there was also some intense racing with the two cars 24 of Robbie Micoli and Amy Becker. However not long after the start of the race, Faleski spins in turn 2 and collects the car of Young, as he had nowhere to go. The cars of 24 Micoli and 86 Amy Becker went to the high side to avoid the collision and it looked like we mite have a replay of what happen on 6-25-06 but this time they squeezed by. Young had to take his car into the pits for some minor repairs and he was back out by the restart.
On the restart, Suttner took the lead with Hamann right on his bumper. Micoli and Young were working their way through the field fast and Hamann took the lead. It was now Hamann, Micoli, Suttner and Young battling for the lead when Amy Becker had to pull off the track Due to a broken chain, and she had a great run going on this day. Three laps latter the 95 car of Roy Becker pulled off with a broken chain no caution. Hamann and Micoli Pulled away from the rest of the field and was starting to catch the lap traffic. The two of them were racing hard for the lead and did not notice Young moving in fast.
Hamann were side by side in turn three and when they came out of turn four the bounced off of each other and Young squeezed in between the two cars of Hamann and Micoli it was three wide all the way down the front straightaway going into turn one. In turn, two Young took the lead buy half a Mini Cup car over Micoli with Hamann close behind. Micoli tries to make the pass on the low side of Young twice in the closing laps, but could not get by due to the lap traffic. At the finish line, it was Young Micoli Hamann Faleski and the 98 of Kulesza rounding off the top five. After the race, Paul Young said, it was as if I was dreaming. One minute there was no hole and the next thing I new I was between them.
